Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, city and (optional) profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and Google profile photo.
• Listings: outfit photos, descriptions, sizes, prices and the dates you block.
• Rentals: requests, booking dates, and the hub's records of each handover and return (deposit amounts, condition notes and photos).
• Reviews you write and receive, and your wishlist.
• Notifications: if you turn them on, a technical address for your device so we can send alerts.
• How you found us: if you arrived through one of our links or QR codes (for example on a standee or flyer), we note which one (like “standee”) and save it with your account if you sign up. Visits through these links are counted anonymously, as a daily total per link.

What we don’t collect

We don't store Aadhaar numbers or copies of ID documents. For the ✅ Verified badge we only look at your ID in person at the hub. We don't collect payment card details.

How we use it

• To run your account, show listings and handle requests, bookings, handovers and returns.
• To send you notifications about your rentals (in the app and, if you allow it, on your phone).
• To resolve disputes about damage or deposits, using the hub's records.
• To keep the community safe and improve the service.

Who can see what

• Everyone: your name, city, profile photo, rating, verified badge, and your listings.
• Your WhatsApp number: only you, the hub team, and the other person in a rental: an owner sees a renter's number when a request arrives; a renter sees the owner's number once the booking is accepted.
• Rental records: only the owner, the renter and the hub team.

Services we use

We store data with Supabase (database, login and photo storage) and host the app on Vercel. We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous page-visit statistics; it doesn't use cookies or advertising IDs. Google handles Google sign-in. Phone notifications are delivered through your browser's push service (e.g. Google or Apple). When you tap a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.

Storage on your device

We keep you signed in and remember small preferences (like a dismissed banner), and which link or QR code brought you here (for 30 days), using your browser's storage. We don't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. Rental and hub records are kept for up to 3 years after a rental to handle disputes and as required by law, then deleted.

Your rights

• See and correct your details any time in Profile → Settings.
• Delete your account yourself in Profile → Settings → Delete my account. This removes your profile, WhatsApp number, listings and photos, wishlist, notifications and login. Past rentals are kept with your name removed, so the other person and the hub keep their records (see “How long we keep it”).
• Get a copy of your data, or ask any privacy question, by writing to the grievance officer below.

Who can use Pinarth

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
